Behind The Style

Meet Amy!

How long have you been at Home Style Co Amy?

I started in April of this year, so around 6 months now!

What do you remember about your beginnings?
I remember being welcomed into a really warm and friendly team. I was excited to be joining and had followed Home Style Co on instagram for a long time. My first style was a two bedroom house in Thebarton and was amazed how smooth the team ran operations, it all came together so quick and efficiently.

What’s your favourite piece of stock?
My favourite piece of stock would have to be the Adairs green boucle occasional chair. Its really cool looking, I love the green, and its also extremely comfortable!

Can you name a styling you were really proud of?
A styling I was really proud of was a little unit in Carrington Street in the city. A one bedroom with two living areas and a little courtyard out the back. It was full of character, and had also been modernised. It was my first solo style and I really loved the place, the styling turned out really cute.

Do you have a favourite piece of art?
I adore the Middle Of Nowhere pieces we have. The Olive Courtyard and Amber Vessels prints are really calming and always work great in any space.

What area of the home do you prefer to style?
I love putting together bedrooms the most. I enjoy playing with different cushion layouts and combinations to pair with the chosen artwork. You can create a lot of character for the room in lamps and bedside accessories as well.

Finally, what’s on your Wishlist right now?
So many things! The Boucle Edith Cane Chairs in White Wash from Castlery are at the top of the list, and also the Artie Wave Ripple Coffee Table from Globe West.
