How To Style A Bar Cart

Including a bar cart in our stylings is a great way to add an extra feature to a living area, however, how do we add life and interest other than simply adding bottles? We share how to below…

Tip 1 - Firstly, arrange your bottles in groups to create a sense of purpose and space on your cart. This can be in groups of odd numbers with tallest at the back and shortest at the front, or even numbers of 4 or 6 of similar height bottles for a more uniform look.

Tip 2 - Think about the different objects that might come in use when serving drinks at a bar cart.
Adding bowls or jars of dried / fake fruit to add to your drinks not only brings colour, but also visual interest to your stand.

Tip 3 - Adding the finer details such as adding your favourite coasters either under your glasses or kept as a stack comes in handy when entertaining for large groups. Create layering with larger marble trays under your bottles or mixer shakers for added contrast.

Tip 4 - Keeping a book or two of gin / martini recipes on your cart is not only practical when in need of a new recipe, but also a great way to create a visual anchor. Depending on the book size, we suggest laying the books flat to allow the spine and cover to shine rather than stacking upright. Place some your favourite objects on top to complete the look.

Tip 5 - Still have space on your cart? Candles and floral vases aren’t only for coffee tables, share the love and include them here as well! Adding a tall vase with faux floral can be a great way to add height and impact to an already low lying cart shelf arrangement.
